Free Sewing Pattern Roundup!

A curated list of free patterns from around the internet....please let me know if there are others I should add!

Closet core has a nice, boxy T-shirt with front pocket with options for short and 3/4 length sleeves and two lengths. You can also get a pattern for a sewing machine and serger cover by signing up for the newsletter, which I have made and use daily.

Tessuti has a few top patterns, an apron pattern, and a skirt pattern available here.

There is a nice free dress pattern and tee pattern on this site - the other designs on here are great as well!

Lots of lovely free patterns for dresses, tops, jumpsuits, pants, made by wonderful indie pattern makers from around the globe.

A few free patterns for basics including a zero-waste dress, basic tee, kimono style robe, tote bag, and more.

Seamwork has a sleeveless top, long sleeve top, and undies (with a period undies variation!) for free.

One of my favorite indie pattern makers, and there are a ton of great tutorials on this site for self-drafting, a few free PDF patterns, crochet patterns - lots to explore over on the blog!

The Hemlock Tee is a great knit basic - there are also a couple other free patterns (like an apron, and ornaments) and tutorials on the site here.

Some nice free knit basics - a long sleeved tee, knit tank, and knit pencil skirt.

Mood has lots of free sewing patterns, but be warned, they can be hit or miss! Check pattern reviews online and see what folx are saying before investing your precious time and fabric....

Tilly has this awesome collar pattern which I love, as well as a pattern for slippers and an eye mask which make great gifts.

A TREASURE TROVE of free patterns (almost 100 at last count!) all featuring linen (what the Fabrics Store is known for...) but I've seen comments from people who have worked up these patterns in every fabric imaginable, so not limited to linen by any means. Tops, dresses, jumpsuits, pants - everything you could want. There are also wonderful tutorials on the blog for lots of sewing skills, natural dying, embroidery, etc.

Merchant & Mills Bucket Hat - see the pic - enough said

This very cute and super fast and easy to sew knit tank is free - there's also a tote and apron.

A nice V-neck knit tee that is perfect for scrapbusting and pattern-blocking

Free undies and skirt patterns for newsletter subscribers - you'll have to wait to get a code to use in your cart at checkout to download.

Fibre Mood has a few different patterns for free, including the Frances top above.

This is where everyone gets their pattern for the iconic McCalls' M7969 that has taken Instagram by storm right? If you want yours, click above.

Your chance to make a super cute beret. The other patterns on this site are very affordable and very cute too.

There are several name-your-own-price patterns here - so you could download for free, but I always suggest making a reasonable donation to support these fellow creatives! I've seen cool hacks of the Elliot Top, shown above, with buttons or snaps in the front instead of the ties.

An internet fav - this pattern can be made in a variety of materials and can tie in the front or back. Looks really cute with high waisted skirts or pants and as a layer over a cami or even long sleeved top. She also has some other freebies like a self-drafting tutorial, pouch pattern, sewing space organizer, etc.
